Just like any other formality, being married in Dubai has its set of processes that you require to know especially if the marriage is between a Filipino and an Indian. To get married in Dubai Filipino and Indian as Kuwait expats, there are certain conditions that you will have to meet with approved documents and attested by various authorities.  

Filipino and Indian getting married in Kuwait  

To get married in Kuwait as Filipino and Indian expats, you will be required to provide a lot  of documentations which might be cumbersome. You will need a lot of time to prepare everything in order for your big day to be a success.

As a Muslim lady expat under the Muslim law, you will be required to get married to a Muslim man but a Muslim man is free to marry a non-Muslim. All the weddings for Muslims are conducted at the General Courts.

In case the expat bride is a Muslim, the only marriage permitted will be a religious one under the Islamic laws and the groom has to be a Muslim as well. For the Muslim groom, only religious marriage has to be conducted as per the Islamic law though it is not a must for the bride to be a Muslim.  

Filipino and Indian to get married in Dubai 

It is still possible to get married in Dubai as a Filipino and Indian couple as long as one of the couples has met the requirements that including: 

  • Being an Indian national, you have to be subjected to the laws of your home country 
  • You will need a valid Dubai resident visa for purposes of marriage solemnization 
  • In case one of you having a visiting visa, you will need to undergo an extensive medical examination before the marriage happens in the UAE. 

With all the above, the marriage will have to happen under the non-Muslim UAE court located in Abu Dhabi. This is because, they are from two different nationalities and thus not possible to conduct the marriage in the embassy.
